The Energy & Construction Casualty department is seeking a Senior Underwriter who will be responsible for the following:
Underwriting general direction, underwrites assigned risks. Generally has greater Underwriting authority and handles large accounts and/or more complex risks.
Making independent sales calls to market and cross-market products.
Refers declined business to other AIG divisions, as appropriate.
Providing technical direction to underwriting personnel and direct or conduct audits.
Developing negotiation strategies.
Identifying cross-selling opportunities.
#LI-GR1 Knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, procedures and techniques.
Marketing abilities.
Exceptional communication ( written and verbal) , organizational, customer service and negotiation skills.
3-5 years underwriting experience.
