Position Description
AIG Corporate Finance has an exciting opportunity for a Process Analyst in our Finance Transformation organization based in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
This role will analyze financial accounting and reporting processes and supporting data structures to define a future state built on enterprise-wide standards and common financial views across AIG. The analyst will support the transformation team to assess impact and identify improvements in data, process and technology aspects. Other responsibilities:
Work closely with subject matter resources from various functional areas to define target state financial data standards, structures and identify process and technology enhancements in support of the future vision.
Drive project execution, stakeholder communication as well as development of comprehensive process documentation.
Analyze current usage of codeblock fields
Engage functional SMEs to confirm key reporting requirements
Identify upstream and downstream data and process impact (reporting, reconciliation, analytics, governance)
Identify alternatives to address gaps in support of the future state
Develop and coordinate program governance documentation including business requirements and functional specification documents
Provide guidance and advisory support to high-priority projects as appropriate
Work effectively as a team member and a lead contributor

Position Requirements
Undergraduate degree
Minimum 5-10 years experience in complex, multi-segment, corporate environments
Expertise in all aspects of business process documentation and transformation
Track record of success in delivering similar business process transformation initiatives as part of large scale and complex process implementation projects
Collaboration with cross functional teams
Big 4 background is desirable
Strong personal discipline to excel
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as strong listening skills to understand our internal client's needs
Ability to handle multiple initiatives with competing interests for time and evolving priorities
Ability to adapt easily to change
Strong analytical and process orientation with the ability to define and validate as-is processes as well as to design to-be processes
Understanding of the intersection of business processes with system processes
Understanding of finance and accounting processes, preferably in an insurance industry environment
Strong attention to detail to document high level and in-depth business processes
Proficiency with methodology and tools such as Microsoft Visio for documenting processes
Demonstrated ability to work closely with project teams, business and senior executives as part of a joint team

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
