The Senior data Analyst is responsible for participating in application integration and enhancement projects across FP&A; and CCAR work streams.
Ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Finance and general Insurance Concepts along with a strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM).
The candidate must provide analytical and technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area, usually as a member of a project team, in the analysis, design, development and implementation of business applications.
The candidate is expected to collaborate with company customers, staff members, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present viable solution options.
The candidate must be proficient in translating business requirements into software, communications, and equipment requirements for application development.
The candidate has the ability to participate in prioritizing resources and tasks, developing contingencies, adjusting scope, interacting with purchasing and providing management feedback .
B.A. / B.S. degree in Finance or Technology is desired.
8 or more years of relevant experience within Technology for Finance/Insurance, Accounting or data analytics.
Insurance or financial experience required
The candidate must have an understanding of advance concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies used for Finance and Insurance applications.
Extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible and economical solutions.
Strong and demonstrated project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation.
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively participate in teams.
Proficient in the use of MS Office: Excel, Word Access and PowerPoint
Strong Design and Architecture experience preferred.
Develop Test Plan and Test cases.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term objectives.
Well organized, highly detailed, quantitative skills and strong focus on accuracy.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and balance competing priorities.
Highly analytical, forward thinking, with excellent problem solving skills.
