Manager / Associate Director level professionals for our Decision Science practice in Berkeley Heights, NJSuccess in this position requires:
Candidates will be expected to be familiar with the application of data science and advanced analytics to business problems for functional areas within Biopharma/Oncology, relating to Sales and Marketing and/or Medical Affairs, such as:
- Patient analytics using Real-World Data (RWD) sources such as anonymized longitudinal patient claims data, lab/diagnostic testing data, etc.
Predictive models at the anonymized patient level and/or provider level, using RWD sources such as claims data and/or electronic health records (EHR) data using large datasets and advanced AI/ML algorithms and tools.
Descriptive patient-level analyses such as patient journeys using RWD datasets such as claims and/or EHR data.
Provider/account Segmentation, Targeting, Promotion Response Modeling, Marketing Mix Optimization, Digital Analytics.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements for predictive modeling projects.
Design and develop statistical models and algorithms to predict and analyze key business metrics and trends and optimize customer experience and improve business outcomes.
Be able to coach the team to clean, preprocess, and transform large datasets to prepare them for model development.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.
Select and apply appropriate modeling techniques, such as regression analysis, machine learning algorithms, clustering, neural nets, random forests, deep learning algorithms etc.
Be able to coach the data science teams on the right modeling methodologies to deploy; how model performance can be enhanced; how model design can be improved.
Validate and refine models using various evaluation techniques, including cross-validation, hypothesis testing, and performance metrics.
Interpret model results and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of models into production systems.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in predictive modeling and data science techniques.
Required Skills/
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of professional industry experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in developing and implementing predictive models in a professional setting.
Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques, such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, clustering, deep learning algorithms, boosting, text mining, NLP, social network analysis, etc.
Understanding of Patient data/ Claims data/ Patient Analytics is must Proficiency in programming languages such as PySpark & Python is a must.
Solid understanding of database systems and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable models.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with big data technologies (e.
g.
, Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.
g.
, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
